Capacity:

During 1965 till 1994, the capacity was nearly 80 which included single, double, triple occupancy rooms.

After renovation in 1995, the capacity rose to 168

Adding bunk beds and 40 seated dormitory rose the capacity to 224 which also included some four seater rooms.

In 2001, additional capacity was added taking it to 254.

Mess during the 1970s was managed by students themselves. The mess was handled by two students in a month which was rotated every month. They used to handle the procurement, preparation and distribution.
Also in initial days the mess was handled by Mr. Pandurang Bodke (Pandoba as we call him). The food was prepared and served by him and his team.

Initially the students used only cycles for travel and that too rarely else walking to the destinations was the most common way of moving around.

Today the students enjoy the facility of solar water heater supplemented by Electricity. But in initial days, there were wood fired small boilers. Students uses to fire the wood fired heater themselves at individual level. A common wood boiler was installed during 1970-1971

The most common way of entertainment was radio and very few people owned it. Instead of seeing the cricket matches people used to enjoy the match by hearing the commentary.

In 1965 hostel had a small gymnasium which had equipments like bars and dumbbells. Also library and reading room were present. Now hostel has facilities like Gathering hall, Playing ground, Carrom, Table tennis, Chess, Volley ball.
